A Dictionary of Common MUCK Abbreviations

• AAC - Albany AnthroCon, a furry convention held in Albany, NewYork.  AAC has moved, and is now simply called AnthroCon.
• AC - AnthroCon, a furry convention held annually in New England.
• AFK - Away From Keyboard
• BBIAF - Be Back In A Few [minutes]
• BBL - Be Back Later
• BotSpot - The position held by the player who has been online longest.   Type WHO, and the last character listed has the BotSpot
• BRB - Be Right Back
• CCI-SD - ComicCon International-San Diego.  Official name for the San Diego ComicCon, a major comic book convention held annually in San Diego, with a large furry presence.
• CCD - CritterConDiego.  A mini-con that occurred in conjunction with CCI-SD
• CF - ConFurence, the first major furry con, where many FurryMUCKers gathered each year.  CF was held annually in Southern California.
• CFE - ConFurence East, the second major furry con, no longer in operation.
• CFN - ConiFur Northwest, a furry con held annually in the Seattle, Washington area.
• DBRef# - DataBase Reference Number.  Every object, room, and character has a unique DBRef#
• ECotP - East Corner of the Park, a location on FurryMUCK.  ECotP contains the Gazebo.
• EF - EuroFurence, a furry con held annually in Europe.
• FB - FuzzBall, a MUCK server program.
• FC - Further ConFusion, a furry convention held annually in the San Francisco Bay area.
• FM - FurryMUCK
• FSB - Furry Spring Break, a new furry con to be held in Florida.
• FT - FurToonia
• IC - In Character, the opposite of OOC
• IIRC - If I Remember Correctly, If I Recall Correctly
• IMO - In My Opinion
• IMHO - In My Humble Opinion
• IMNSHO - In My Not-So-Humble Opinion
• j/k - Just Kidding
• JR - JumpRoom, before the creation of the tport program, one of the primary methods of transportation on FurryMUCK
• LOL - Laughs Out Loud
• MAV - A misdirected communication, such as a whisper accidentally spoken aloud or a page sent to the wrong person, especially if it is of an embarrassing nature.
• MFM - Mephit Fur Meet, a furry can held annually in Memphis, Tennessee.
• MPI - Message Parsing Interpreter, a script language that allows you to embed commands within plain text.  Used for special effects.
• MUF - MUck Forth, a programming language used to write programs.   Requires a Mucker bit to write MUF programs.
• NCotP - North Corner of the Park, a location on FurryMUCK.
• NWS - Not Work Safe.  A warning that something, usually adult material, could get someone in trouble if viewed at work or school.
• OOC - Out Of Character, the opposite of IC
• POD - Palace Of Dragons, a location on FurryMUCK
• RL - Real Life, the opposite of VR
• RLI - Real Life Interruption
• RP - Roll Playing
• RPG - Roll Playing Game
• ROTFL - Rolls On The Floor Laughing
• ROTFLHHO - Rolls On The Floor Laughing His Head Off.
• ROTFLMAO - Roll On The Floor Laughing My Ass Off
• SCotP - South Corner of the Park, a location on FurryMUCK.  SCotP contains the Bulletin Board Annex and the Great Hall of Fame of Insanity, a list of players who have spent more than 24 hours online at a time.
• SD - Spindizzy MUCK
• SDCC - San Diego ComicCon, a major comic book convention with a large furry presence, held annually in San Diego.
• SPR - SocioPolitical Ramifications MUCK
• SRH - Secret Raccoon Handshake
• Taps - Tapestries MUCK
• T|D - Truth or Dare
• TF - TinyFugue, A client program that runs under a UNIX shell.
• TFF - Toons, Fur and Fluff, a MUCK.
• TLC - The Leach and Collar, a location on FurryMUCK
• TP - TinyPlot, A small, self-contained RP adventure within the MUCK.
• TPN - The Purple Nurple, a location on FurryMUCK
• Tport - Teleport, a command used to get around quickly.
• TS - TinySex, A TP that involves sex.  Cybersex.
• TSQ - Town SQuare, a location on FurToonia.
• TTFN - Ta-Ta For Now
• TTYL - Talk To You Later
• VR - Virtual Reality, the opposite of RL
• WCotP - West Corner of the Park, a location on FurryMUCK. WCotP is the center of FurryMUCK, and is the location of the Bandstand, the Bulletin Board, and the Visitor's Center.  This is the spot where Guests and new players first appear, and is a central meeting point for many players.
• ZC -ZonieCon, a furry con held in Arizona.
